Home sweet home

Lincoln and I made a whirlwind, and unexpected, trip to Chicago last week to help my mother who was having a mental breakdown because of the many demands on her time and energy. I spent the entire week planning the pageant- it's done!!- and mom and dad got to spend an entire week spoiling their grandson. Lincoln LOVED all the attention- is there really any doubt that he takes after his Grandma Bond?? We went to Wisconsin to shop at the outlet mall. We found many cute clothes for Lincoln, who has promptly grown out of just about every outfit we own, and I also got a little something for myself- an APPLE PEELER CORER SLICER!!! I ducked into a random kitchen store hoping they might have one and low and behold there it was sitting on the shelf with a light shining on it like the spirit was just leading me to it!! I bought it right away (or maybe daddy bought it :) and proceeded to go home and make an apple pie that night (dad got to eat the pie so I feel like that was a good return on his investment) I had to take a picture just to prove to you all that I now own the greatest piece of kitchenware ever invented...

We also went to Wisconsin to see mom at her Outdoor Ed program (does anyone think we visit the land of cheese a bit too much?) in Burlington. For those of you who are not up to date on the town history of Burlingtion, WI, and really- who is?, it just happens to be the birthplace of Tony Romo. He just so happens to be the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, current boyfriend of Jessica Simpson(boo), and my husband's hero. The town has a population of a little over 10,000 and maybe two stoplights- we were hoping to find a lifesize cutout of Tony with a big sign saying Home of Tony Romo but no such luck (maybe they took it down when he started dating jessica). So we had to settle for the dinky little sign on the side of the road...

Here are some pictures of Lincoln with his grandparents and his uncle David and soon to be Aunt Kelly

So the trip was great and very productive. We are going back in three weeks, not that I'm looking forward to another day of traveling with a baby but it will be fun to be home for almost a month. We move into our new apartment tommorrow, it has been really fun to watch the guys build it from the ground up! I will take a bunch of pictures and post them when we get all moved in and settled.

darling pictures of my bubbie. I can't wait to see him and you again. I know it is a hassle traveling, but I promise I will make it up to you with a nice manny/peddy when you get here. Have fun moving. Just think this is the last time for 2-3 years. You can do it.
